Each therapist considered for the position of Mentor completes a personal information form and is interviewed. Once a prospective Mentor has been selected, the prospective Mentor pays the fee for the training and executes an agreement with Parting Properly regarding non-disclosure of the proprietary nature of the Parting Properly methodology.

The training is provided in person or by a direct video link between the trainer and the prospective Mentor and includes a manual, document forms, contractual forms, engagement letters, and other necessary materials. Each client engagement is managed with internet based project management and client management software, and the Mentorand Parting Properly management are in regular communication as each couple is moved forward.

The initial training includes an explanation of the company management system, the client management system, and the methodology used by Parting Properly to facilitate agreement between the clients on all issues.
